These terms apply to the website shopproof.app and to the rules file that the free Shopproof WooCommerce plugin and Shopify app download from it. Separate terms will apply to Shopproof Pro and to the Shopify app listing when they launch.

Technical help, not legal advice

Shopproof helps shops display information that EU and national consumer rules require. Each rule in Shopproof names its official source and the date it applies from. We work to keep the rules accurate and up to date, but they are a summary for technical use and do not replace advice from a lawyer about your shop. You remain responsible for your shop's compliance.

The free rules file

You may use the rules file through the Shopproof plugin and app free of charge. We may change, pause or end the free service, and we will try to give notice of major changes on this website. The rules file has no guaranteed availability.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where mandatory law, such as product liability law, says so. For slight negligence in the free service we are not liable, except for breach of an essential obligation; in that case our liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumers have under mandatory law.

Law and courts

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict of law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For business customers, the courts competent for our registered office have jurisdiction.
